Roland A. Lindsay's Obituary
Roland Augustus Lindsay of Abita Springs passed away on Monday, June 7, 2010. He was born October 7, 1919 in Rome, GA to the late Howard A. and Estelle Camp Lindsay.
He is survived by his daughter, Debra Lindsay Fiegel; two sons, Glenn E. and Howard A. “Red” Lindsay; one sister, Mildred Lindsay; five grandchildren: Donna, Doreen, Ronnie, Sandy and Lisa; 19 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Ann Lindsay and five brothers: Myron, John Williams, Raymond, Malcolm and Charles Lindsay.
Mr. Lindsay was a shrewd business man and, up until the very end, had a joke for every occasion.
Relatives, friends and patrons of Tall Oaks Lounge are invited to visit and pay their respects on Saturday, June 12, 2010 from 9:00 AM until 12:00 Noon at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433.
Interment at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Covington will immediately follow services.
