Roger James Hogan's Obituary
Roger James Hogan passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2010. He was born in New Orleans to the late Ralph Raymond, Sr. and Neva Brown Hogan and has been a resident of Mandeville since 1982.
The beloved husband of Lois Olsen Hogan, he is survived by one sister, Neva Hogan Sherry; his brother, Ralph Ramond Hogan, Jr.; two nieces, Sharyn Michelle and Nicole Marie Campbell; 11 brothers and sisters-in-law, 15 nieces and nephews-in-law; numerous great nieces and nephews-in-law; cousins and many friends. He also leaves behind his beloved cat, Pavarotti.
Roger was a proud Boy Scout in his younger years. He graduated from Prytania Private School in 1971 and attended UNO. He was an amateur meteorologist and was inspired at an early age by Nash Roberts. For over 25 years, he was employed by Acadian Millwork and Supply Company; at the time of his illness, he was acting Chief Information Officer and Purchasing Director for the company. Never without a project (or projects); he was skilled and crafty with his hands and was an avid fisherman.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend funeral services at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433.
Visiting hours will begin Wednesday at 2:00 PM.
