Rodney Matthew Bourgeois Sr.'s Obituary
Rodney Matthew Bourgeois, Sr. passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023. He was born in New Orleans, LA on July 10, 1935.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Beryl Johnson Bourgeois; his children, Rodney Matthew Bourgeois, Jr. (Kim), Anne Marie Bourgeois Sturdivant (Nelson) and Mark Edward Bourgeois (Kimberly); his grandchildren, Katherine Sturdivant, Jessica Bourgeois, Cade Bourgeois, Hunter Bourgeois, Andrew Sturdivant, Gabrielle Bourgeois, Madeline Sturdivant, John Paul Bourgeois and Amelia Bourgeois.
He was preceded in death by his parents Gladys Bernadine Schwander Bourgeois and Warren Roger Emile Bourgeois, Sr.; and his brother, Warren Roger Emile Bourgeois, Jr.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Rodney was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He especially enjoyed camping, fishing, hiking and hunting with his children and grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W 21st Avenue, Covington Louisiana on Monday, April 3, 2023, at 2:00 PM with visitation on Monday beginning at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
