Roderick "Rod" Lanclos' Obituary
Roderick “Rod” Lanclos, age 66, of Covington, Louisiana, passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2025. He was born on October 3, 1958, in Opelousas, Louisiana.
 
He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Dena Faye Chapman; mother, Jessie Lanclos; brother, Joseph “Wayne” Lanclos (Kelly); niece, Donna Rome; and many extended family members and friends.
 
He was preceded in death by his father, Antoine “Lee” Lanclos.
 
Rod will always be remembered for his love of animals. He had a soft spot in his heart for all animals, but he especially loved horses. Another passion was his love for music. He was an avid concert goer and had especially fond memories of attending concerts at “the Warehouse”. Rod was a production operator at Cornerstone Chemical Plant (Cytec), where he retired after a 30-plus year career.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 1:00 PM at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, Louisiana, with visitation beginning at 12:00 PM.
