Robert Charles Wheeler II's Obituary
Robert Charles Wheeler II, born July 11, 1986, left us on August 19, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, creativity, and joy.
He is survived by his loving mother, Deborah Perrin Wheeler, his father, Robert Wheeler, his brother, William Peters, his niece, Camin Peters, and his nephews, Liam “Ro” Ducros and William “Trip” Peters. Robert was preceded in death by his sister, Elise Wheeler, and his brother, Matthew Ducros Peters.
Robert attended St. Paul’s High School in Covington and went on to study chemistry at LSU before graduating from the University of New Orleans with a degree in film. His love for film and music was matched only by his passion for sharing happiness with those around him. Robert had a gift for lifting others’ spirits, and he will be remembered most for the way he made sure the people in his life felt cared for and at ease.
He traveled many roads and touched countless lives, always leaving behind warmth and laughter wherever he went. Robert’s presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will continue to inspire those who knew and loved him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 11:00 AM at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, Louisiana, with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, 5200 Canal Boulevard, New Orleans, Louisiana. A Celebration of Life in Roberts honor will take place directly after the interment.
