Robert J. "Bob" Tranchina Sr.'s Obituary
Robert J. “Bob” Tranchina, Sr., age 83, of Abita Springs, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024. He was born on December 12, 1940, in New Orleans, Louisiana.
He is survived by his children, Donna Tranchina, Robert Tranchina, Jr., and Nicholas Tranchina and his wife Kelly; grandchildren, Joseph Stall, Jr., Brandyn Bennett, Kasie Leigh Owens and her husband Justin, Nicholas Tranchina, Jr. and his wife Courtney, Jewelia Tranchina, Mason Tranchina, and Mia Tranchina; great-grandchildren, Ryder Tranchina and Gianna Tranchina; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, JoAnn Latuso Tranchina; his parents, Nicholas James Tranchina and Lucille Latino Tranchina; and sister, Marjorie Tranchina Mauterer.
Mr. Bob grew up in New Orleans and moved to the Northshore in 1979. He was a three-time past master with the Masonic Lodge, serving in that capacity and many others at both Lodge #188 in Covington and #444 in Metairie. He was passionate about cars, boats, and casinos. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. A loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, he will be dearly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend an evening wake on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, Louisiana. Private Interment will be in Abita Springs Cemetery at a later date.
