Robert C. "R.C." Thigpen's Obituary
Robert C. “R.C.” Thigpen passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at the age of 86. R.C. was born in Covington, LA on May 29, 1938 to Myrtle Ella Thomas Thigpen and Emmett W. Thigpen.
R. C. is survived by his children, Robin Thigpen, Greg Thigpen and Shawn Thigpen (Farah); grandchildren, Scott Steinhauer (Rebekah), Hannah Steinhauer Carriere (Chase), Meghan Thigpen Houidobre (Jason), Taylor Thigpen and Andrew Thigpen; and great grandchildren Hadley, Annie and Cecilia Steinhauer, Lucas Carriere and Rhett and Etta Jane Houidobre. He is also survived by his siblings, Gary Thigpen, Rita Kay Vessier, Linda Gail Simoneaux and Carol Harper.
R. C. was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Jeannette Taylor Thigpen; and his brothers, Emmett Glen, Lionel and Billy Thigpen.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Graveside Service at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, 2280 W 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 11:00 AM.
