Robert Ralph Layerle's Obituary
Robert (Robby) Ralph Layerle of Covington, LA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 09th, 2019 in his home, lovingly surrounded by his wife, children and granddaughters. He was born on November 21, 1957 in New Orleans, LA to Charles and Ivah Layerle.
Robby is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Esther Hotard Layerle; his children Melissa Layerle, Theresa Layerle Pourciau (Robert), Amanda Layerle Amato (Stephen), Charles Layerle; and 5 granddaughters Anna, Adelaide, Seraphina, Gisele & Siena. He is also survived by his mother Ivah Layerle, brother James Layerle (Lyndell), sister June Banquero (Robert) and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Charles Layerle and brother Barry. Robby was devoted to his faith and family.
He was raised in Jefferson Parish and thoroughly enjoyed working with his wife, family and co-workers. Robby had a passion for knowledge and was willing to mentor anyone in his presence. He also loved spending free time at the family farm in Mississippi.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Fatima, 66110 Vortisch Road, Lacombe, Louisiana 70445 on Monday, January 14, 2019 at 10:00 AM.
A Wake will be held on Sunday from 1:30 PM until 4:00 PM at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W 21st Ave, Covington, LA 70433 and at church Monday morning from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM.
A private interment for family will follow in Lumberton, MS.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mr. Layerle to be made to Our Lady of Fatima Church.
