Robert Lee Key, Jr.'s Obituary
Robert (Bobby) Lee Key, Jr. passed away surrounded by family and friends, Sunday afternoon, August 17, 2008 at the Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans LA.
He was 49 years old. A resident of Covington LA, he was born in Warner-Robins Ga. Bobby is a 1976 graduate of Warner-Robins High School. He graduated from Middle Georgia College and the University of Georgia where he was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. After college, Bobby moved to Baton Rouge, La. to manage Champs Sporting goods and other subsequent business ventures. He was a devoted UGA sports fan. His favorite hobby was gathering with friends. Bobby never met a stranger and spent his life making innumerable friends. All who knew him will miss his stories, quick smile and genuine concern for the well being of others.
He was a tremendous father figure to Cassi, Trey, and Desiree, the children of his spouse of nine years Cara (Carol) Priser. Proceeded in death by his mother, Lucille and father, Robert Lee Key. He is survived by his brother Stacy Lanier Sr., and sister-in-law Patricia, nephew Stacy Lanier Jr., and his wife Krissy, niece Wendy and husband Ed Stanford. Grand-nieces and Grand-nephews Ashlyn Lanier, Cooper Lanier, Abbie Stanford, Cameron Stanford, and Caroline Stanford, and former wife Amanda McDonald Scallan along with many other friends who will miss him dearly.
A Celebration of Bobby's Life will be held Wednesday, August 20th 8:30am-11am at N'tina's in Mandeville, LA.
