Robert, Tom and Marion and my sister, brother and I were great friends growing up in Houma, LA. Our dads worked for Halliburton. We visited the Hilburn’s many times in Ruston. What fun we had and what trouble we could think up! I have such wonderful memories and I am saddened by this news. My sincerest sympathy goes to the whole family. Pat Harrington Reddrick
I used to live in Maplewood Estates in the early 80's and Robert and Cheryl were good friends. Robert and I fished a lot and enjoyed each others company while ocean fishing. They raised three beautiful daughters. Regrettably we lost track of each other after I moved in 1987 but I cherish the good times I had with Robert. Losing Robert and Cheryl is a big loss but I'm happy they are together again in Heaven.

Robert and I spent lots of time together side by side on the El Dorado Wildcats....he was left guard on very successful football teams.......a quiet personality back then and set out to do his job no matter what. We did not connect in later years except at reunions but we definitely shared that south Louisiana common ground also. My deepest sympathy for the loss of a good man. Ray Barber
