Robert Joseph Held Jr.'s Obituary
Robert Joseph Held, Jr. passed away on May 31st at 5:19 pm from congestive heart failure, and is now reunited with his dad. He was 57 years old.
Robert was born on November 7th, 1966 to Janice Donnaway Held and the late Robert J Held, Sr.
He attended St. Angela Merici school, De LaSalle High, Delgado, and UNO.
He received an Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy and worked at St. Mary’s Hospital in Knoxville, TN.
He moved back to Metairie, La and worked at Atlantic Aviation at MSY airport as an aviation fueling agent. He loved Atlantic Aviation, and especially his boss, Frank, who was like a father figure to him.
Left to cherish his memories, is his loving mother and three loving sisters, Jennifer Held Aguilar, Melissa Held Oliver, and Christine Held Harper.
He loved his brother in laws: Darryl Aguilar, M.D., John Oliver, and Glenn Harper.
Caring uncle to Chris, Meredith, and William Aguilar; Libby, Sammy and Maddy Oliver;
Marie, Michael, and Joseph Harper.
He is survived by aunts, cousins, good friends, and his beloved cat, named Kitty.
The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at Ochsner Main Campus hospital for their phenomenal efforts in trying to save Robert.
Also, thanks to the immediate family members and cousins who were there for him, while he fought hard to live.
In the Lieu of Flowers, mass intentions at St Angela church or your church choice, is preferred.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial service on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 12:00 Noon at St. Angela Merici Church, 835 Melody Dr., Metairie, La 70002 with visitation beginning at 11:00 AM until service time.
Burial will be private at a later date.
