Robert Gibase's Obituary
Robert Frank Gibase passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2014. He was born in Hammonton, NJ on Tuesday, April 23, 1963 to Christine Marie Solano and Frank Gibase, Jr. and moved to Covington, LA in 2005. For 20 years prior to his move to Covington, Bob worked the casino industry in Atlantic City, NJ. He ended his career there as VP of Player Development. He transitioned into a franchise owner and operated a number of Coldstone Creamery locations in Baton Rouge. Bob loved the outdoors, especially boating and deer hunting, and was a faithful parishioner at St. Anselm Catholic Church in Madisonville.
The beloved husband of Debra Schwenk Gibase, he is survived by his parents; two sons - Michael and Matthew Gibase; one sister - Denise Davis (Glen); two brothers – Christopher (Fran) and Frank (Maria) Gibase and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service to take place at 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433.
Visiting hours on Thursday will begin at 5:00 PM.
