Robert F. Fleming's Obituary
Robert F. “Bob” Fleming, Jr., born September 11, 1945, a resident of Mandeville and a native of New Orleans, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2009.
He is survived by his loving wife Suzanne Montgomery Fleming, one daughter, Melissa Judeth Fleming; six sons: Stephen Robert (Crystal) of Austin, TX, Nicholas Jude (Olivia) of New Orleans, Matthew Clarke, William Bertel, David Montgomery and John Gillis Fleming. He is also survived by one sister, Sharon Fleming Cooke; three brothers: John E., Philip M. and Mark W. Fleming; two grandsons, Steele Daniel and Logan Alexander Fleming and numerous nieces and nephews. Bob was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He lived faithfully by volunteering in various aspects of his parish community. He served on the School Board, ushered at 9:30 mass, Newcomers Ministry, Knights of Columbus and other ministries at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church and School. He was devoted to his children and their activities by being a coach and mentor. He was a graduate of Cor Jesu High School, University of New Orleans and Loyola Law School. He practices law in New Orleans, Metairie and on the Northshore. He was well respected not only in the law community but by the entire metro New Orleans area.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral mass at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, August 1, 2009 at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1501 West Causeway Approach, Mandeville, LA 70471.
Wake services will be held Friday, July 31, 2009 from 6-9:00 PM at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433.
Please join the family in praying the Rosary Friday at 6:15 PM.
Visiting hours Saturday at the church will begin at 10:00 AM.
A reception at the Parish Center will immediately follow mass.
Committal rites will be held privately at a later date.
