Robert John FitzSimons' Obituary
Robert John FitzSimons passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2009 at the age of 78.
Beloved husband of the late Ida Mae Tayor FitzSimons. Father of Kim FitSimons Wanner, Michael Charles FitzSimons, Robert Keith FitzSimons and David Raleigh FitzSimons. Son of the late Laure’ Bouvier FitzSimons and Francis James FitzSimons. Brother of Elizabeth Arnaud, Christine Byrnes and the late Nicholas FitzSimons and Francis FitzSimons. Also survived by twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Covington. He was a U.S. Marine during the Korean War.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Monday, March 30, 2009 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433 with visitation on Monday beginning at 11:00 AM until Mass time.
Interment will follow in Garden of the Pines.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
