Robert Morgan Davis' Obituary
Robert Davis passed away, after a brief illness, on Thursday, April 16, 2015 in Covington, LA. He was born on June 3, 1936 in Danbury, CT to the late Lorin Davis and Gladys Morgan Davis.
Bob was married to his beloved wife, Mary Wright Davis, for 41 years and together they had two children, Lauren Davis-Toups (David) and Brian Davis (Sylvie). He was the loving grandfather of Christopher Toups, Olivia Toups and Elena Toups. Bob was the brother of Gerald Davis (Maureen), the late Frank Davis, and Donald Davis. He was the brother-in-law of Sharon Davis of New Town, CT and Marie Wright of Massapequa, NY. Bob is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Bob attended the Bethel, CT public schools. He served as an aircraft mechanic in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. Bob worked for the Barden Corporation for 40 years, retiring as vice-president and general manager of the Winsted Precision Ball Company. Bob was a devoted family man, who after his retirement, loved to travel and spend time with friends.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Friday, April 24, 2015 at St. Joseph Abbey, 75376 River Rd., St. Benedict, LA 70457, at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be held at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433, from 11:30 AM until 1:30PM. Interment will follow the service at St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery, St. Benedict, LA. If desired, donations may be made in the name of Robert M.
