Robert "Bob" Raposo's Obituary
Bob Raposo entered into eternal glory on March 27, 2023. He was born in Somerville, Massachusetts on January 2, 1942. Bob lived in Saudi Arabia for 8 years of his childhood before moving to Jacksonville, Florida at age 15. He met Anne Lester, and was married to the love of his life for 57 years.
Bob was a faithful Christian who had a vibrant sense of humor. He had a successful career in sales and was a gifted engineer. He enjoyed golf, traveling, music and great cuisine.
Bob is survived by his loving wife Anne Lester Raposo; his son Robert “Reed” Raposo, Jr., grandchildren Robert Reed Raposo, III and Randall Ryce Raposo; his daughter Laura Lynn Raposo Loman with son-in-law Seamus Martin Loman, grandchildren Brady Cade Loman, Anna Grace Loman, Bryce Edward Loman, Emily Hope Loman, Samuel Martin Loman and Margaret Lynn Loman; his daughter-in-law Katie Boudreaux Raposo, grandchildren Katelyn Anne Raposo, John Randolph Raposo and William Riley Raposo; his elder brother Donald Raposo.
He was preceded in death by his son, Randolph “Scott” Raposo, his parents Mabel Helen Transue Raposo and Donald Raposo, as well as his younger brother Richard Raposo.
A worship service, in memory of Robert Reed Raposo, will be Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at 11 AM at New Covenant Presbyterian Church in Mandeville, Louisiana with reception immediately following in the church fellowship hall. Visitation will be open before the service from 10:00-11:00 AM.
