Ricky J. Penton's Obituary
Ricky J. Penton was called home by our Lord and Savior on Friday, September 9, 2016 after being diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer only 4 weeks ago. He was born on Tuesday, February 19, 1957 in Tylertown, MS to Mary Elizabeth Haley and William Ernest Penton and was a resident of Covington for nearly 50 years. He owned and operated Rick’s Catfish Cabin at Barker’s Corner for many years.
A beloved son, father, brother and friend, he is survived by his mother - Mary Penton; three children - Christopher Kane Penton, Kasey Penton Gottschalck (Travis) and Kody Daniel Penton; one sister - Pam Penton Thompson (Lawton); three brothers - Allen J. Penton, Mark A. Penton(Christine) and Jeff T. Penton (Nancy); and two grandchildren - Carter and Taylor Gottschalck.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral service at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Bogue Falaya Baptist Church, 78689 Hwy 25 Folsom, LA 70437.
A wake at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home is scheduled for Friday, September 16, 2016 from 6 - 9:00 PM with visiting hours AT THE CHURCH on Saturday beginning at 9:00 AM.
Interment at the Fleet-Haley Cemetery in Franklinton, LA will immediately follow services.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be greatly appreciated.
