Rickey R. Robertson's Obituary
Rickey R. Robertson, age 75, of Covington, LA, passed away on July 10, 2026, after a very brief illness of leukemia. Born on October 21, 1950, in New Orleans, he was the only son of the late James M. Robertson and Eula Martin Robertson.
He was the beloved husband of 37 years to Linda Kaul Robertson, his partner in laughter, in travel, in art, and in the gentle rituals of everyday life. He is also survived by cousins Audie Hymel and Danny Martin, along with a wide circle of extended family and friends who cherished him.
Rick attended Immaculate Conception School Elementary, Archbishop Shaw High School, and Nicholls State University. His professional life was dedicated to the field of programming and software development, serving numerous banks throughout his career. He retired from Hancock Whitney Bank in 2016 after 19 years of service.
Rick was proud to faithfully serve as a Knights of Columbus 3rd Degree Charter Member of St Anselm Knights of Columbus Council 15133 where he was the Grand Knight for 3 years and as a 4th Degree member of the Color Corp Honor Guard of Mary Queen of Peace Assembly 2922 where he was Faithful Purser for 3 years. He also served as State Administrative Assistant to the Louisiana State Council. His past councils include: Our Lady of the Lake Council 9240, St Paul Council 10216 in Mississippi (as Financial Secretary for 8 years), St Benedict Council 3061 (as Warden for 3 years); and Charter Member of St Peter Council 12906 (as Financial Secretary for 8 years), and Abbey Council 17205 (as Financial Secretary for 2 years). His past assemblies include Assembly 2269 in Mississippi as Member of Color Corp Honor Guard, Deacon James Seghers Assembly 2467, and Abbey Paul Assembly 334.
Rick’s generous spirit and warm personality were evident in every part of his life. He served as an Extraordinary Eucharistic Minister at St. Anselm Church in Madisonville and delighted in playing with the St. Anselm Bell Choir. He contributed to the K.C. Rosary Committee for Avanti Senior Living, served as a Board Member for the local chapter of A.A.R.P., volunteered with Ochsner Golden Opportunities, and participated in both the TerraBella Art Guild and the St. Tammany Photographic Society.
Photography was Rick’s great passion. On his art website, he wrote: “My photographs are not centered on any one subject because if I see something unique, colorful, interesting or just pleasing to my soul, I want to capture a picture of it. If any of my photographs bring happiness and warmth to your heart, I have accomplished my new goal.”
Rick was a remarkable man—kind, humorous, and full of life. His and Linda’s travels were beautifully documented through his artistic eye. He brought joy, laughter, and friendship to everyone he met. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
