Richard Howlett Scott's Obituary
Richard Howlett Scott, age 86, departed this world peacefully on June 26, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 25, 1938 in New Orleans, LA. He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Catherine Howlett Scott, as well as brothers Joe Scott and John Scott.
Richard is survived by his loving wife Judith Ann Foret Scott; his daughter Nicole Scott, son Richard Jr (wife Shannon); grandsons, Zachary Scott, Patrick Scott, Will Scott, Reid Scott, and Andrew Scott; brother Dan (wife Kathy), and many extended family members and friends.
Richard grew up in New Orleans and was a graduate of Warren Easton High School. After graduation he served six years in the United States Army and Air National Guard where upon he was honorably discharged with the rank of Staff Sergeant. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Loyola University New Orleans before becoming a businessman and building long term careers as both a travel agent and real estate agent. Richard was a voracious reader and an avid LSU Tigers fan. He enjoyed nothing more but spending time with family and friends.
A graveside burial for family will be held on Monday July 1, 2024 at Biloxi National Cemetery to lay Richard in his final resting place.
