Richard Campbell "Dick" Pearce's Obituary
Richard Campbell “Dick” Pearce passed away peacefully in the early hours of Monday morning, July 17, 2023 at the age of 76 at his home and surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Lubbock, Texas on September 12, 1946, to William Martin Pearce Jr. and Frances Campbell Pearce.
He is survived by his loving family, including his wife Gabrielle "Gaby" Lamar Pearce, his daughter Anne Marie Pearce, his stepdaughter Charlotte Gabrielle Brown and his stepsons Roberts Temple Brown and Peter Lamar Brown. He was the brother of William Martin Pearce III and uncle to Marc and Eric Pearce. Dick will be dearly missed by his beloved family and a host of dear friends.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents William and Frances.
A native of Lubbock, Texas and proud resident of the North Shore area for over 35 years, Dick attended Kemper Military School, graduated from Lubbock High School and then Texas Tech University in 1969. He proudly served the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Dick was honorably discharged as a 1st Lieutenant in 1971. He later earned a mid-career Master's degree in business and finance from the University of Delaware. He took pride in his career in finance, serving as a stock broker, banker and small business loan professional for more than 40 years.
Dick was loving, compassionate and a steadfast friend to many. He enjoyed hobbies that allowed him to work with his hands and express his creativity, artistry and passion for craftsmanship. He continued to develop and refine his skills, including through continuing university education, throughout his life. More than anything he loved and was devoted to his family and friends. Dick was widely respected and profoundly loved by many and will be deeply missed by all. His irascible sense of humor, gentle spirit and joy in life will be remembered and cherished by his friends and family until they meet him again.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass at Saint Joseph Abbey, 75376 River Road, Saint Benedict, Louisiana 70457, on Friday, July 21, 2023 at 2:00 PM with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM until service time. Interment will follow services and take place in Saint Joseph Abbey Cemetery.
