I have been fortunate to have known Captain McNeely for over 50 years. As a young boy, l remember Captain McNeely was a dad who commanded respect but at the same time was always approachable and one who you always felt comfortable in his presence.
Captain McNeely was a true and principled gentleman his entire life and was a role model for me and those fortunate enough to have known him. Simply put, he was one of the best of the "Greatest Generation".
To Mrs. McNeely and family, I am sorry for your loss but his spirit will live on in the many people he touched.

Capt. McNeely, the original "38", was one of the most principled individuals with core values second to none. A true gentleman. A very proud Blue Jay.
He has been a mentor to many who truly loved and admired him over these many years.
Godspeed, Captain McNeely. I am blessed to have had you as friend.

Dear Mrs. McNeely,
Isolde and I want to send our most sincere condolences. Although we have all gone our separate ways, we are all better for having had the opportunity to know Captain McNeely. He was and will always remain a gentleman of the highest caliber. We will keep you, Captain McNeely and the entire McNeely family in our thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely, Philip and Isolde
Our thoughts and prayers are with the McNeely family. I knew him while i was still a school boy and he was never too busy to engage a conversation that left you feeling he treated you as an equal no matter the age difference. He was a man of class and we all shall miss him. Paul S. Vogt Sr.
