I was fortunate enough to work with Rick for 20+ years. The last six years before he retired I was blessed to work in the office next to him and during that time I really got to know Rick. He was an honest man with great knowledge, witty, humble, and had a great sense of humor. He would frequently put others first and push his work aside to help and mentor others. Rick and I spend many late evenings at work together talking and sharing experiences. We would talk late into the evening to the point that we were the only two left in the building. With his wit and sense of humor, he quickly dubbed us "The Misfits". Misfit #1 and Misfit #2. One topic that Rick was sure to talk about every evening was his family. It was evident to me that Rick loved very much and was very proud of Joan, their children, and his grandkids. When he retired, the work days became a little longer, the meetings became less enjoyable, and the hallway just wasn't the same. Rick brought joy and laughter into our lives and we are all better because of him.
We love you Rick, you will be missed.
