I was Best Man at Dick and Linda’s wedding. Dick and I worked together for 7 years as District Managers with General Motors. Just learning of his passing...!!!! He and I had great fun on our trips with GM. My condolences to Linda and Dick’s family.

Surprise! Dick Batti was married to Juda Alice McClung and has three adult children from that twenty-six yearera in his life. Rick Batti ,Cheryl Ann Arthur Batti , Terri Lynn Enger Batti. He chose over twenty years ago to disowned all of his children. He was an outstanding example of an emotionally
handicapped human being. His only son spent twenty five years raising money for D.A.R.E. and Policemans' Assistance League for at risk children. He passed on December 21st,2014. He is survived by his wife of Twenty yearsand by his daughter, Stephenie Rochelle Batti. Cheryl Ann Arthur Batti taught elementary school in Hornbeck , Louisiana unti l2015. Her children include
Nathaniel Arthur, Ashley Arthur, and Caleb Arthur. Her children have blessed her with three grandchildren; most recently Abram Nathaniel Arthur was added to her heart toenjoy and share. Terri Lynn Enger Batti is

Adam Enger.Jason's children are Kayla Renee Enger and Kysen Butler Enger. Jacob's son is Cole Riley Enger .Joshua has one son, Ethan Alexander Enger and found out yesterday that there's another grandchild on the way.
Regardless of why Dick chose to turn off his love for his children, he was still prayed for.
As a father he was emotionally absent; looking back to that time in our family's past he was gone five days a week to support his family needs.As an adult I know he never was given UNCONDITIONAL love. That explains why he could not give what he had no knowledge of what it took to be a kind,loving, supportive father.He did his best, his emotional intelligence was never developed with his first marriage and his children. I found out that my biological father had passed by my sibling, my heart jumped in to my throat.She was working on developing a family tree and when Dicjk's mother... up popped Dick's obituary. As I read it I saw a stranger. He chose to miss the gifts God was giving him;7 granchildren and 9 greatgrandchildren. I am sure Linda Socca Batti was given strict ORDERS NOT TO NOTIFY HIS FIRST FAMILY.
THE OTHER NOTES TO MY FATHER speak of someone I never had the pleasure to know. And Linda it worked, finding out that my biological father had passed by accident was a slap and more of Dick's cold hard heart.
Terri Lynn worked in the locked facility for juveniles as a teacher's aide while working toward her teaching credential. She was blessed to serve God in Bryant Middle school in Dos Palos California for twelve years when she was medically retired following a series of strokes.Terri Lynn has been blessed with Kayla Renee Enger, Kysen Butler Enger, Ethan Alexander Enger, Cole Riley Enger and another grandchild is due in December.

Linda, So sad to learn of your loss. Met Dick in my early career with General Motors and always from day one enjoyed working with him. Will be missed by all...later in life we even golfed together. A great man and wonderful friend for all that knew him. God Bless you and the family. My thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
