I have fond memories of Mr. Dick from way back when Debra and I were tweens and then teenagers. He named Debra's rabbit Whiskey and it would be easy for him to remember. :) Every year for Debra's birthday, he would bake her a cake from scratch - it's been years, but I think it was Red Velvet; and so all my life whenever I saw or heard "Red Velvet" I would think of him. I remember the camping trips we'd go on and also how he patiently taught me the card game Canasta - he was in awe of how quickly I learned it, but the truth is he was a great teacher and explained it so eloquently. I will miss him.
Love to all of you,
