Ria Warner's Obituary
Ria Young Warner passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2007.
Beloved mother of Maria “Tissie” W. Gibson, Richard M. Warner and Robert Warner and his wife Ruthie. She was also survived by nine grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; and a former daughter-in-law, Lynn T. Leblanc. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Warner, Sr.; two grandchildren, John W. Warner and Barbara Lynn Warner; a son-in-law, Lester Lamar Gibson, Sr.; a sister, Mathilde Fink; and three brothers, Ernest and Hans Young and Heinrich Jung.
Age 100 years, a native of Darmstadt-Arheilgen, Germany, she had been a resident of Covington, LA for the past 78 years. She was a member of Covington Presbyterian Church and the Eastern Star.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend funeral services on Friday, December 21, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Covington Presbyterian Church, 222 Jefferson Avenue, Covington, LA 70433.
Visitation on Friday will begin at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to Covington Presbyterian Church.
