Rhonda Laughlin Baumgartner's Obituary
Rhonda Laughlin Baumgartner, 62, of Abita Springs, LA passed away on
Saturday, February 3, 2018. She was born on October 21, 1955 in Eunice,
LA to the late Joseph Charles Laughlin and the late Ruth Guillory Laughlin.
Rhonda is survived by her beloved husband, Dr. Richard P. Baumgartner;
her children R. Taylor Baumgartner (Adrienne), David E. Baumgartner
(Jessica), Barrett T. Baumgartner, and Leah C. Baumgartner; and two
grandchildren Laura and Collin Baumgartner. She is also survived by her
brother Michael Grant Laughlin and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rhonda is remembered for her wonderful cooking, alto harmonies, and
selfless giving of time, talent, and treasure. She was a dedicated member of
St. Peter Catholic Church and School, as well as the St. Paul’s community.
In addition to being a devoted wife, she was a mother to four beloved
children and “Momma” to many. Quick to laugh and eager to comfort, she
never met a stranger. A best friend to many, she was a blessing to all who
had the good fortune to have known her. Steadfast in her faith on earth, she
now joins the saints and angels in Heaven.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Peter
Catholic Church, 125 E 19th Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Wednesday,
February 7, 2018 at 1:00 PM with visitation on Wednesday beginning at
10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests Masses to be said in
