Reginald Philip Navaille's Obituary
Reginald Philip Navaille passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2009 at his residence in Madisonville, LA. He was 83 years old.
A native of New Orleans, he was the son of Elizabeth Ruiz and Raoul Navaille.
Regi is survived by his wife of 50 years, Gayle Brown Navaille and sons L. Pierre of Orlando, FL, Michael of Phoenix, AZ, Patrick of East Glacier, MT and a daughter Cherie Navaille Brenckle of New Orleans. Father-in-law to Nancy M. Navaille, Ann Marie Chytra and Walter Brenckle, two grandchildren, Bobby and Nicole Navaille, one sister Gloria McLaurin of Houston, TX. He is the brother-in-law to Mary Brown, Ronnie Brown, Jim McLaurin and Evelyn Navaille.
One of five sons that served their country during WWII, Regi was a member of the U.S. Marines 6th Division in Okinawa and the occupation of China.
He was employed by N.O.P.S.I. for 40 years. After retirement he lived in Sedona, AZ for 14 years. Declining health brought him back to Louisiana in 2005 where he settled in Madisonville.
Regi was preceeded in death by his parents and brothers Orin, Harold, Raoul, Edwin, Ulysses and Addie.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation on Monday, February 23, 2009 from 10:00 AM until 12:30 PM at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433. A funeral mass will follow at St. Joseph Abbey, 75376 River Road, St. Benedict, LA 70457.
Interment in St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery.
