Rebecca Jenkins Sharp's Obituary
Rebecca Jenkins Sharp passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 13, 2017. She was born in Washington Parish, LA on Tuesday, December 20, 1932 to Aner Barber and J. Abner Jenkins and was a resident of Bush for nearly 70 years.
The beloved wife of the late Ottis Sharp, she is survived by two daughters - Nora Sharp Cleland (Bruce) and Jeanette Sharp Thompson (Donice Thompson, Jr.); her daughter-in-law - Kathy Lemons Sharp; eight grandchildren - Nicole A. Sharp, John Paul, Jr. (Debra), Patrick R. (Mandy), Andrew M. Sharp (Lacy) and Katie S. McIntosh (James), Jared Emery Cleland, Michall C. Warren (Joshua) and Jennifer E. Thompson. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one son - John Paul Sharp, Sr.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 18, 2017 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433.
Visiting hours on Friday will begin at 9:00 AM.
Interment at the Fauntleroy Cemetery in Bush, LA will immediately follow services.
