R.I.P Uncle Raymond...Jessie is waiting for you.
I love my Uncle Raymond and I will miss him.God bless you Uncle Raymond.
Friday,Sept,27,2013I was the maintenance supervisor at Inland Steel Cont.Co. One day,Ray applied for a job with our company. I interviewed him and knew he would fit in well with our crew.He was hired and worked years with us until the plant closed in 1983. Ray, was a good and dependable worker. Our guys liked working with him. I couldn't attend the mass today because I was taking chemo. Two other friends, Jim Gilchrist and Leon Kanicka, asked if I would express their condolences as well because they don't have access to a computer and also not in good health. We're 90 also. I know Ray will be missed by all. It was a pleasure knowing and working with you, Ray. We pray that God will be near and comfort your love ones.
On behalf of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart Alumni Association and Brother Martin High School, I offer our prayers and condolences.Kenny Spellman '84Alumni Director
Dear Uncle Raymond,Please accept a few heart felt words on your journey in the kingdom of God; although, I owe more than this to you. AS a kid you were always fun to be around because you made the best paper airplanes and were always very friendly kindly giving us a dollar in the 50s whenever we departed. As a teen you were still cool because you had that fast 302 Tempest. You married last among your brother and sisters so I was around for that. You and Jessie made a great pair. My dad unexpectedly died in 1964 or 65. I remember how much it meant to me where by you and Jessie spent time with us even taking us to Colorado for a visit with my father's relatives. Afterwards you always paid me and Bubba $20 or maybe $20 each I do not remember to cut, hedge and rack your lawn. Every Christmas you sent my kids some money; and earlier this year despite your advanced years you sent our daughter a wedding gift. A Thank You seems a small token of reciprocation; but I offer it with as much love as my small heart has. Thank you, Uncle Ray. May you find peace with the Supreme Lord, His divine Son and the Church that guided you. sincerely, your nephew,Johnny
BLESS YOU UNCLE RAY,I"LL MISS YOU GREATILY
Offering our deepest condolences during this difficult time.
