Raymond Wesley Moore Ret. U.S. Air Force's Obituary
Raymond Wesley Moore, retired CMSGT United States Air Force, arrived in the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, January 14, 2010.
He is survived by his devoted wife Mary Elaine; four of his children, Karen, John, Perry and Rodger; his sister, Mary; brother, Alex; 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews. His daughter Julie and brother Bob welcomed him home after his exciting 84 year journey.
Ray was born and raised in Minden, Ontario Canada where he served 4 ½ years in the Royal Canadian Air Force prior to joining the United States Air Force and becoming a citizen of the United States. During his career in the USAF, CMSGT, Moore served with Defense Mapping Agency, Cartographer Technical Squadron, March AFB, CA and other duty stations around the world. After 30 years of patriotic service in the USAF, Ray worked for Civil Service 11 years prior to retiring from the work force in 1989. He proudly held a bachelor’s degree, a pilot’s license, as well as membership in the Masonic Lodge. He was a faithful worshiper of our Lord Jesus Christ at St. Peter Catholic Church in Covington, LA. He was well loved and respected by all those who knew him. He left a marvelous legacy that will positively impact the future for generations to come.
