Polete Richard Rodriguez's Obituary
Polete Richard Rodriguez passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at his home in Covington, LA at the age of 82. He was born on November 6, 1935 in New Orleans, LA to Polite Rodriguez and Annie Bell Mixon.
Richard is survived by his beloved wife, Carol B. Rodriguez. Richard is also survived by his siblings Pauline Ingram (Bill) and George Rodriguez (Linda) of Folsom, LA.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents, his three brothers Robert Rodriguez, Joseph Rodriguez, and Roy Rodriguez, and his sister Delores “Susie” Stansbury.
Richard proudly served his country for four years in the United States Navy. As well as a successful career at the Delta Primate Research Center, he also ran the Angler’s Pro Supply bait shop for many years. He’ll be remembered as the founder of the Wednesday evening Angler’s Fishing Tournaments, and he also wrote the outdoor column for many local newspapers.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM. Interment will take place at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Mausoleum following the celebration.
