To my precious Pete, it is 3 months today since that awful morning that I found that you had gone. I still cannot believe this is real. It seems like you should be almost ready to come home after a voyage.I can't face or accept that we will never be together again; that I'll never get to lay my head on your chest and hear that strong heart beating in my ear, making me feel so protected. I think of that poem whenever I think of Pieter. We grieve because of our own loss, you are not with us on this earth anymore. We rejoice because your spirit has been freed from its' material prison and you are free to sail not only the seven seas, but also the four corners of the universe. It has been an honor an a pleasure to have Pieter as part of our family and we will miss him very much. We offer our Love and support to my sister Shelley as we send our good thoughts and prayers to Pete.

Pete went too soon. My prayers go out for Pete and his family. All my times with Pete were good times. We spent Christmas 1976 in Chile. There we went Horse back riding in the hills on a wine and cheese picnic while the ship was in port. Other good times were riding bikes on the St. Tammany trace and eating wild blackberries as we watched deer. BBB Pete, Chuck
Hi Shelly, This is your ex-sister inlaw. I have a card that I'd like to send you, but no address, and it seem's George (Steve to you) doesn't have it either. If you could send me your address through email I would appreciate it. I'm going to stick some pictures of Geo, and the kids in it too. I am sooooo sorry for your loss. I had no idea Pieter wasn't doing very well. Quite frankly I was shocked. He was like the ever ready bunny. He just kept going. There is no doubt in my mind Pieter was here as long as he was because of your devotion to him. You were a wonderful wife, lover, friend to him. I wish you the best Shelly. God Bless You. My precious Pete,you left us much too soon. Enjoy your journey my love. Now you can sail the seas again and visit the stars and planets that have always captured your imagination. Your little guy Max and I miss you. I will never stop loving you. Thank you for our 32 years together.
