Phyllis Maddox Simmons' Obituary
Phyllis Maddox Simmons passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2012.
Beloved mother of Taeia Newton Paulsell (Chuck) and Warren “Mike” Newton (Lucia) and loving grandmother to Kira, Chuck, Warren IV, Michael and Winston. Great-grandmother to Myles and Kaya. She was preceded in death by her mother, Clara Rein Maddox; and her father, Clarence Maddox.
Age 74 years, she was a native of Oak Creek, Colorado and a resident of Mandeville, LA for the past 39 years. Phyllis retired as Secretary after 19 years of service with the Times Picayune, and prior to that, was a Secretary for Former St. Tammany Parish President Bruce Unangst.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend funeral services at Christ Episcopal Church Chapel, 120 S. New Hampshire Street, Covington, LA 70433 on Sunday, September 2, 2012 at 5:00 PM.
