Philip Joseph Nicaud, Sr., age 64 of Covington, LA, died on Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at his residence of a heart attack. Born, Sunday, March 19, 1950 in Natchez, MS to the late Emmet Joseph Nicaud, Sr. and Esther Rose Guido Nicaud.
Survived by his children: Shane E (Ashley) Nicaud, Philip J. (Alisa) Nicaud, Jr., Matthew J (Jodie) Nicaud, Amy Marie Nicaud (Donnie) Warner and Louis C (Rachel) Nicaud. 24 Grandchildren and 8 siblings.
Philip was a leader, athlete and friend to many. He was recently inducted into the De La Salle sports hall of fame. He served on the New Orleans Police Department for 10 years. Philip was a man of quiet faith but deep conviction. He was a professed believer in Jesus Christ and a true American patriot. He is deeply loved and will be sorely missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue Covington, LA 70433.
Visitation on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home and on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home from 11:00 AM to service time.
Interment in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Covington, LA.
