Philip Allan Gardner Jr.'s Obituary
We lost our Angel, Philip Allan Gardner, Jr., on August 14, 2020. Philip was born on December 10, 1979 in New Orleans to Philip Allan Gardner, MD and Carolyn Sue Cook Gardner. He is survived by his parents and his siblings: Jonathan Andrew Gardner (Corey), Matthew Benjamin Gardner (Megan), William Christopher Gardner (Kristin), and Elizabeth Ashley Gardner.
Philip was an incredibly happy baby, and he brought that joy throughout his life. Philip’s diagnosis of Angelman’s Syndrome in no way affected his ability to impact the lives of those who met him. He brought unconditional love to his family and friends. Even those who were only acquainted with Philip were drawn to his bright smile and dimples. Philip brought his family great joy, and we would not trade it for anything.
Due to complications relating to pneumonia, Philip has passed into the arms of Lord. We will dearly miss Philip, but by the Grace and Mercy of Jesus Christ, we will see him again.
Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church Covington, 16333 LA-1085, Covington, LA 70433, on Monday, August 17, 2020 at 10:00 AM. At the request of the family, those in attendance are required to wear masks and practice social distancing. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Philip may be made to Foundation for Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics. Donations may be made at https://cureangelman.org/can/donate.
