Peyton Cade Halley's Obituary
In the arms of angels, beloved Peyton Cade Halley was carried to eternal life in heaven on September 1, 2018. He was 17 years old.
Peyton was born on March 28, 2001 in Covington, Louisiana, where he called home. He attended Kehoe-France Northshore, St. Paul’s Catholic School and was later home schooled. Peyton loved animals and nature. He was a cub scout and grew up fishing, enjoying the water, and spending time with his friends. He also cherished traveling with his family, his favorite destination being the mountains of Tennessee.
Peyton was devoted to and deeply loved his family, who will forever remember his gentle spirit, beautiful blue eyes and warm smile. A devoted son, every call with his mother began with her, “Hey Buddy”, and Peyton always ended with, “I love you mom”. To his father, he was a friend and companion, described as “his pal”. His Sable German Shepard, Marley, was also adored by Peyton as a member of his home and family.
Peyton is survived by many who will live on to honor his life including his parents, John E. Halley, III (Johnny) and Stacey Alford Halley, maternal grandmother, Nanette Jacob Alford, half-brothers, John E. Halley, IV (J J) and Michael Hutchinson, half-sister, Mandy Brassel, nephew, John E. Halley, V (L J) and his many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
Peyton is proceeded in death by his maternal grandfather, C. A. Alford, fraternal grandfather, John E. Halley, Jr., and maternal great-grandmother, Mildred Daniel Jacob.
Open visitation will be held on Friday, September 7, 2018, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, Louisiana, followed by a private burial.
