Peter Alan Nichols' Obituary
Peter Alan Nichols 89 years old departed this earth on May 19, 2023; five days before his 90th birthday. Peter was born on May 24, 1933 in Teaneck, New Jersey. Peter graduated Norwich Military University in Northfield Vermont. Peter married Doris Ogushwitz on August 28, 1961. They resided in Columbia, CT for 40 years and he and Doris had their own company, Nichols Equipment for 17 years. Peter and Doris sold their company and moved to Mandeville, LA in 2002. Peter enjoyed ice skating with his family in his younger years in CT. He and Doris enjoyed camping and dancing together. Peter also enjoyed tinkering around the house, building bat houses and gardening. He was a good husband, father and provider for his family. Peter was pre-deceased by his wife, Doris of 50 years in 2012 and is survived by his son Charles Peter Nichols and daughter, Dina Nichols. A private service was held at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, 2280 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433.
