Peter J. Alphonse's Obituary
Peter J. Alphonse entered eternal rest on Friday, February 24, 2012 at the age of 92. A resident of Slidell, LA since 2005 and a former resident of Chalmette, LA.
He was a devoted husband for the past 66 years to the love of his life, Rosalie Sagnibene Alphonse. Peter was a loving, wonderful and dedicated father to Betty A. Brignac, James R. Alphonse, and Angelina A. Jarman. Father-in-law of Randy Jarman and the late Ronald M. Brignac. Loving grandfather and great-grandfather to Bonnie L. Smith (Matt), Meghan Jarman, Madelyn Jarman, James Richard Alphonse, Bayley Smith, Ross Lemoine and the late Brett Lemoine.
He was a Word War II veteran serving with the 752nd Field Artillery. He retired in 1983 from Kaiser Aluminum in Chalmette after 25 years of service. Peter’s stories, jokes and gardening wisdom will be sadly missed.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass from E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433 on Friday, March 2, 2012 at 1:00 PM. with visitation on Friday from 11:00 AM until Mass time.
