Peggy Lee Vernon's Obituary
Peggy Joetta Lee Vernon, 61, a native of Folsom and resident of Montpelier, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 8, at North Oaks Hospital in Hammond. She was born in Independence.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Peggy will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Surviving are her daughters Christy and son-in-law David George of Holden and Amanda and son-in-law Timmy Keating of Holden; five beautiful granddaughters: Kyleigh, Joleigh, Annaleigh, and Brynleigh George and Raylynn Keating; two sisters, Patsy Lane and husband Andy of Folsom and Gloria Vinyard and husband Gary of Loranger; two brothers, Robert Lee and wife Dixie of Loranger and Ronald Lee of Folsom; long-time friend and ex-husband, Leland “Lucky” Vernon; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Maxine Lee; niece, Jacqueline Ann Lane Smith; and nephew, James Brian Lane.
The family would like to thank the staff at North Oaks Hospital and North Oaks Hospice for their total dedication, care, and compassion. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Lee Hill Baptist Church, 11001 Lee Settlement Rd., Folsom, LA 70437.
Visitation on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Lee Hill Baptist Church and on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Lee Hill Baptist Church from 10:00 AM to service time.
Interment in Elias Lee Cemetery Folsom, LA.
