Pauline Frances Montgomery's Obituary
Pauline F Montgomery was born on February 21, 1923 In Boston, Ma to John F Montgomery and Pauline (Bailey) Montgomery. She had one brother, John F Montgomery Jr and was brought up closely with many cousins and extended family.
She went to Boston Public Schools and graduated from Regis College with a degree in chemistry. She used that degree to help the WWll war effort through the Manhattan Project. The reality of what that project became led her to work to help mankind. She worked with others to start the Montessori System of Education which grew to help underprivileged children. Pauline worked mainly in Louisiana and Guatemala. She spent the majority of her life in Caritas International. She had many lifelong friends whom she loved. She loved the Lord most of all. Her faith was a great example to her family. We hope she knew that.
She was smart, fun loving, brave, opinionated, loyal, and loved very much by her friends and large family.
She is survived by 6 nieces, Susan ( Stephen) Wright, Janet (Kenneth) O’Neill, Donna ( Douglas) Mercer, Margaret ( John deceased) Fratus, Joan (Stephen) Brown, and Tracy (John) Callahan as well as Stephen Jr, Nathaniel, Lianne, Lauren, Ashley, Nicola, Jessica, Cameron, Carli, Jenna, Courtney, Christine, Caroline and all of their Husbands and Wives. Her Great Nephews Derek, and Jacob, her Great Nieces Bridget, Teagen, two sweet new babies to be expected in November which she prayed fervently for. Thankfully we got to announce these new ones to her on our last FaceTime with her.
Her funeral arrangements are being handled by E.J. Fielding Funeral Home.
