Patricia "Diane" Schlumbrecht's Obituary
Patricia “Diane” Romero Schlumbrecht passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 with her husband at her side. She was 75 years old. She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Romero and her mother, Theresa Delahoussaye Bernard and Maxie Bernard. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Melvin E. Schlumbrecht, Jr. and her stepdaughter Greta Anthony (Trent) and her step grandson, Grant Badstebner. She is also survived by her aunt, Ruby Delahoussaye, and her cousins, Marcus Delahoussaye (Andre) and Celeste Viator (Darrel).
Diane attended college at LSUNO in the 1960’s, then she went on to work for the Gulf Oil Corporation as an accountant for 20 years, and then worked as a bookkeeper for Porteous, Hanke and Johnson for 18 years. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, clothes shopping, and playing pool with her husband.
Diane will be buried in Barker-McManus Cemetery in Covington, LA.
