Patricia Bazar Osburn's Obituary
Patricia Bazar Osburn passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023, at the age of 84. She was born on July 12, 1938, in Many, LA to the late William Gary Bazar and Dorothy Stringfield Bazar.
Patricia was the beloved wife of the late Robert Andrew Osburn for over 50 years. She was the loving mother of three daughters: Debbie Buquoi (Bruce), Becky Gaspard (Kirby), and Patricia Salles (Michael) and two sons: Robert Osburn (Danya), and David Osburn (Dawn). Patricia was the proud grandmother of Michelle, Chuck, Allison, Jenna, Lindsey, Evan, Emily, Shannon, Bobby, Kane, Cody, Mason, Parker, and Spencer; and 21 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Barbara Meyers, the late Michael Bazar, Franz Bazar, and Reagan Bazar.
Patricia was a graduate of Abbeville High School where she excelled academically and in extracurricular activities. She was a band enthusiast, playing multiple instruments and received a music scholarship to attend Northwestern Louisiana University. Patricia was also Queen of the Abbeville Dairy Festival her senior year. Upon graduating from Abbeville High School, she married her high school sweetheart, Robert Osburn, forgoing her opportunity at Northwestern Louisiana University. Patricia worked as a telephone operator during the early years of her marriage. She later went on to work as a new account representative at First National Bank in Mandeville, LA. Her greatest love was her family, where she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, always putting their needs before her own. She attended their sporting events, school activities, and loved the holidays when the family would gather to visit and create lifelong memories. She was a skilled decorator where she always made her house a home. She later developed her homemaking skills by creating items for a local business in Mandeville, LA. Later in life she added a companion, a Shih Tzu named Beau, which her children said she spoiled more than all of them combined.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Service at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433 on Friday, April 7, 2023, at 11:00 AM with visitation from 9:00 AM until service time.
