Patricia Healy Kyte's Obituary
Patricia Healy Kyte was called to eternal rest on Thursday August 19, 2021 at the age of 80. She was born October 25, 1940 in Thibodaux, LA to the late Dr. Thomas J. Healy and Effie Clause Healy and was a resident of Covington for the past 75 years. Patricia was married to her beloved husband, the late Kennard Lawrence “Larry” Kyte, for 46 years and was the devoted mother of Mary Kyte Duet (Ruffin) and Anne Kyte Thiel (Kiley). She was a loving grandmother to James J. Duet, Thomas L. Duet and Christian K. Thiel. Patricia is also survived by her sister, Elizabeth Healy Muse (John), her sister-in-law, Gwen Healy (wife of her brother, the late Dr. William R. Healy), and her niece, Kristin Muse Vogt (Mickal), and other beloved nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Patricia was a graduate of St. Scholastica Academy in Covington and Charity Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse at St. Tammany Parish Hospital for over 20 years. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Peter Catholic Church, participating in the Ladies Alter Society and Eucharistic Adoration for many years. The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers at Avanti Senior Living for the wonderful care and attention provided to our mother.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 125 East 19th Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Friday, August 27, 2021 at 1:00 PM with visitation beginning at 11:00 AM until service time. Interment will immediately follow Mass at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, 2280 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70443.
