Patricia Ann Harden "Patsy" Walker's Obituary
Patricia Ann Harden Walker went home to Jesus at 7:30 PM Sunday, May 27, 2018. Born in Booneville, MS on March 9, 1941. She was preceded in death by her father, Word H. Harden and step-mother, Louella Sue Harden.
Patsy was married to her beloved husband, Otto Walker, for 58 years. She was the loving mother of Timothy D. Walker (Ana) and Rodney L. Walker (Christine). Patricia was the proud grandmother of Stevie Ann Hataway (Preston), Justin Paul Walker, Elaina Marie Walker, and Lauren Elizabeth Walker; great-grandmother of Elijah Britt Hataway. She was the sister of Dudley Wayne Harden.
Patsy dedicated her time and talent serving 30 years at the First Baptist Church of LaPlace as a member of the choir, assisting with the children’s bible school and helped develop and maintain the church library. She was an active member of the Gideon’s Ladies Auxiliary for 30 years and served in many officer positions at the Camp and State levels. Patsy was a lady of many talents and interests including art, scrapbooking, and genealogy research. Before retiring, she worked for many years as a Research Librarian at the St. John the Baptist Parish Library.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Service at First Baptist Church of Covington, 16333 Hwy 1085, Covington, LA 70433 on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 12:00 Noon with visitation from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow the service at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, Covington, LA. For those wishing to make a memorial gift, in lieu of flowers please make your gift to the Gideons International, P.O.
