Patricia Flanagan Abide's Obituary
Patricia Flanagan Abide, at the age of 87, entered eternal rest peacefully on Saturday evening, March 4, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Raymond George Abide Sr. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on December 26, 1935, to Eugene and Fannie Flanagan.
She is survived by her children Raymond Jr. (Kelly), Judy Camp (Chuck), Mark (Tammy), James (Kathy),Carol Lambert (Ricky), and Christopher (Bonnie). Patricia was the proud grandmother of Terry, Matthew, Stephanie, Chuck (Shelby), Jordan, Nicholas, Christopher (Chrissy), Raymond III, Andrew, Maggie, Alexandra, Cole, Abigail, and Patrick.
Patricia was preceded in death by her loving husband Raymond George Abide Sr. of 53 years, her parents Eugene and Fannie Flanagan, brother Harold, sister Linda Butcher, and great grandson Miles Christopher Abide.
A native of New Orleans, formerly of St. Bernard Parish and a resident of Covington for the past 17 years. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church in St. Bernard Parish for 40 years, and a current parishioner of St. Peter Catholic Church in Covington. She was a member of the SBVFC Stitch in Time, Homemakers Club, Holy Faith Associates member and AARP. Patricia loved traveling, reading, crossword puzzles, spending time with family and friends, especially her Pokeno friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral mass at St. Peter Catholic Church, 125 E. 19th Ave., Covington, Louisiana, on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 11:00am with visitation from 10:00am until time of service. Interment will follow the funeral mass, and will take place in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
