Pat went home to the Lord to be with her husband, the late Deacon Harry C. Schmidt, Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Connie S. Aucoin and Marie S. Kickel; her sons, Harry C. Schmidt, III and C. Donald Schmidt; a sister, Joy F. Brelet; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Lucille Faist; her sister, Irene Kern; Two brothers, Joseph B Faist, Jr. and Leon E. Faist, Sr.
Age 75 years, a native of New Orleans, LA she had been a resident of Mandeville, LA for the last 15 years. Pat worked in the Receiving Department at Whitney National Bank for the 25 years prior to her retirement. She attended Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church and was a member of the church’s altar Society. With her husband, Pat was an avid camper and together they enjoyed traveling and spending time with their grandchildren.
Relatives, friends, Bishops, Priests and Deacons of the Archdiocese of New Orleans are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, January 5, 2007 at 11:00 AM from Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 312 Lafitte Street, Mandeville, LA 70448. Clergy is asked to bring Albs and White Stoles. Visitation will be on Thursday from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 and Friday at the church from 9:30 AM until service time. Graveside services and interment will follow at St. Joseph Abbey.
