Pamelia DeHart Fowler's Obituary
Pamelia DeHart Fowler, 62, of Mandeville, LA passed away peacefully on May 5, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 18, 1961 in Houma, LA, and grew up in Grand Caillou, LA. In 1984, Pamelia married her best friend and the love of her life, Kenneth Wayne Fowler, in Lafayette, LA.
Known by her loved ones as Pam, she glowed with grace and compassion for all, and her family and friends meant everything to her. She enjoyed hosting, caring for, and spending quality time with family and friends, cooking delicious meals, and acting as family archivist and historian.
Always passionate about reading, Pam adored books. She helped found a thriving book club, volunteered at libraries, and relished sitting down with a good book. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, Scrabble, Jeopardy, and playing dominos with loved ones.
Her children remember her as a devoted, selfless, and loving mother. As involved as possible in caring for them, she proudly participated in the PTA and served as a Scout Mom for the Girl Scouts.
Pam was compelled to see the world and joyfully embarked on countless adventures with her husband and soulmate. She lived with strength and poise, passing her abundance of love on to all lucky enough to know her.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Fowler; son, Matthew Fowler; daughter, Kelsey and Paul Scariano, Sr.; grandchildren, Paul Jr. and Arabella Scariano; father, Magnus DeHart, Sr.; siblings, Patty Cunningham, Faron and Donna DeHart, Rory and Lynn DeHart, and Shirley and Jerome Fabre; cousin/sister, René Fowler; and numerous beloved in-laws, godchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, framily and friends.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Voison DeHart; father- and mother-in-law, John and Glenda Fowler; brother, Magnus “Buck” DeHart, Jr.; and brother-in-law, Michael Fowler.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at St. Timothy on the Northshore, 335 Asbury, Mandeville, LA 70448 on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 11:00 AM with visitation at the church on Saturday beginning at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
