I worked under Pam for several years as an ESL Bilingual Teacer at JC Ellis Elementary in Metairie until her retirement. She always listened to me as I discussed some of my concerns with children and teachers. I was honored to have taught under her. She always found solutions to most of our problems. I just found out about her final trip to Our Lord. All her friends will miss her. May she Rest In Peace. My most sincere condolences to her husband an family. Espie Ramos
I was so saddened to hear of Pam's passing. Pam was a wonderful supportive mentor and friend to me during my years teaching at JC Ellis. She was always there for me and made the school a cohesive warm family, making each one of us feel special and important in our educational environment. She was so much more than a caring professional principal, she was a gem of a lady and I am honored to have known her and been a part of her years at JC Ellis. To quote an old Irish proverb: Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal. My most sincere condolences, thoughts, and prayers go out to her family.

Tommy and I are so saddend to hear about Pam. I know your heart are broken. What a wonderful lady. I never will forget how she saved my son at the tender age of 7, when she took him into her school and got him the help he needed. I know she would be happy to know those years at Ellis gave him the chance he needed to become a success. Thank you for sharing her all those years ago with the school system. We may have never made it through those years with out her.

Miss Klimm was my first grade teacher from 1971 -1972. I remember her warmth and compassion she showed to each of her students. She would hug us when we cried for our Mommies and reassured us that they would be back. I particularly remember her pink dress she wore often. It was my favorite color and she looked so pretty in it. Miss Klimm was one of those teachers you never forget. I am blessed to have had her for my teacher.
Pam was a truly sincere and loving human being. I had the privilege of working with her for over 25 years at JC Ellis and enjoyed every minute. She was a good friend of myself and my husband and will. be greatly missed by all who came in contact with her!
She was a generous soul who loved the Christmas season, she was so good at remembering everyone at this time of the year. Pam adored animals and they instinctively knew to love and trust her. We have lost a genuine, loyal friend. As a person, she was kind, honest and supportive. One could not possibly find many human beings that possess all of the attributes that Pam Milto had.
There is no question that she will be missed dearly and her road to heaven is definite. Pam will always remain in my heart, memory and soul. I pray I can emulate her great disposition, spirit and life.

I recall Pam, Joe, and Libbye sitting at the round table in the teachers lounge each morning when I arrived. It seemed as though everyone knew only those precious few sat at that table daily and no one else dare take a seat. They never said you could or couldn't, it was understood. I later named them the " Knights of the Round Table" and we all laughed about it.
These guys looked after freshmen teachers until we learned the ropes around Ellis. They always had laughter and smiles in their conversations. Those were some of the "BEST" days of my teaching career.
