Otha Ray Jenkins Sr.'s Obituary
Otha Ray Jenkins, Sr. passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2023. He was born on May 30, 1932. He is survived by his loving wife, Bertha Jenkins, of 72 years; his children, Otha Ray Jenkins, Jr., Inie Jenkins and Terry Jenkins; nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; his brothers Clyde Jenkins and John Jenkins.
He was preceded in death by his son, John D. “Jay” Jenkins; his, parents Inie Fussell Jenkins and Jesse Jenkins; and nine brothers and sisters.
He was a lifelong resident of Lee Road and Barker’s Corner. He was a welder at Equitable Ship Yard and the owner and founder with his wife, Bertha, of Jenkins Towing in 1978. He was a man of deep faith.
He will dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral services Shepherd’s Care Ministries, 20115 Highway 1081, Covington Louisiana on Friday, February 10, 2023, at 2:00 PM with a wake at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA on Thursday evening beginning at 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and a visitation at church on Friday beginning at 12:00 noon until service time. Interment will follow in Barker McManus Cemetery.
