Olydia Heloise Mire's Obituary
Olydia Heloise Mire of Madisonville, LA passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at the age of 96. She was born in Ponchatoula, LA on February 3, 1926 to Alcide Joseph Bourgeois and Clothilde Valarie Boudreaux.
Olydia is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Ray Mire. She was the loving mother of Elizabeth B. Guidry (Pert) and Ralph J. Brunet, Jr. She was the caring and devoted grandmother of Louis A. Guidry (Annie) and Brett A. Guidry. Olydia is also survived by her sister, Shirley Vineyard.
Olydia is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Royal Bourgeois, Alcide Bourgeois and Herman Bourgeois; and sisters, Lillie Mae Hungerford, Enid Twickler and Gloria Bourgeois.
Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation and funeral service at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Thursday, February 10, 2022. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM with the funeral service beginning at 3:00 PM. Interment will follow the service at Theodore Dendinger Cemetery, Madisonville, LA.
